The word Omagakii means frog in Anishinaabemowin. The Leopard Frog is synonymous with the plant-based medicines which First Nations used for thousands of years, the spirit animal associated with purification and renewal.

An order in council signed on July 28, 2022 states that First Nations will no longer have to secure a permit from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA), the government body in charge of regulating the liquor and cannabis industries provincially, in order to operate on-reserve cannabis stores.

Some people may use cannabis for health purposes, with great results. However, the cannabis sold in our dispensaries is not authorized medical cannabis. Authorized medical cannabis can only be obtained through Health Canada’s medical cannabis program.
